Today marks the one year anniversary of Team Cadre working remotely, and as I reflect on the last year, I can’t get the song “Seasons of Love”, from one of my favorite musicals, Rent, out of my head.
525,600 minutes. 525,600 moments so dear.
525,600 minutes. How do you measure, measure a year?
In daylights, in sunsets, in midnights, in cups of coffee.
In inches, in miles, in laughter, in strife.
525,600 minutes. How do you measure a year in the life?
I had grandiose ideas of doing a blog recap of the last year in the life of Team Cadre, but the truth is, I did not know how to use all of these words in a just few sentences, to describe an amazing group of people:
- Strength
- Grit
- Resilience
- Supportive
- Kindness
- Understanding
- Cooperation
- Friendship
- Esprit de corps! :o)
Over the past year, Team Cadre was witness to an array of experiences in our personal and work lives; we experienced life and death, weddings and funerals, joy and sadness, growth and challenges, to name a few.
We grew stronger as individuals and as a team. We understood the quote:
- You never know how strong you are, until being strong is your only choice”. – Bob Marley
Together, we celebrated life’s beauty and supported each other through its roughness.
Through all of this, I remind myself that everything has a beginning, a middle and an end, and what really matters – when it is all said and done – is the quality of our relationships; our relationship with ourselves, our family and friends, our team members, our clients, our customers.
The day will soon come when Team Cadre is physically back together in our offices and 2020/2021 will be a distant memory. Let us remember the past, as it becomes part of our future.
