Our client is small bank in the Green Bay area.


As a Lead Teller, you will be responsible for receiving and processing teller transactions.

  • Cross sell and/or refer bank products and services to customers based on their needs
  • Verify and balance assigned cash drawer daily with minimal cash variances
  • Assist in reconciling errors or discrepancies for yourself and other tellers
  • Maintain adequate cash and/or cash drawer limits as required by bank policy
  • Perform ongoing on-the-job training to new tellers
  • Oversee the open the night deposit vault and ensure contents are processed using dual control at all times
  • Responsible for the locations cash vault, cash contents and cash supply both ordering and verification
  • Purchase working money supply for the vault
  • Verify that opening and closing procedures of the vault are followed
  • Balance the vault on a daily basis
  • Maintain inventory of teller supplies
  • Serve as the go to person for questions regarding the machines
  • Balance the ATM, replenish cash supply and ensure ATM is working
  • Prepare customer correction notices, cash in/out tickets and other required documentation for customer and teller errors
  • Assist less experienced tellers, coach and train tellers
  • Assume the lead role for contact with bank personnel and/or customers when a substantial transaction error is detected
  • Proceed with appropriate actions necessary to assure that customer account and bank records accurately reflect correct transaction amounts and balances


  • 2+ years of teller experience is highly preferred
  • Would consider someone with 3+ years as a lead cashier/manager in a retail setting or customer service desk
  • Computer savvy with the ability to learn new systems
  • Excellent customer service skills with a smile on your face
  • Ability to cross sell additional products/services based on customer needs
  • Must have strong leadership qualities to train others and lead them on a daily basis
  • Strong multitasking skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong numbers ability and math skills
  • Must abide by their values of the bank including exemplary customer service, honest communications, integrity and teamwork
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of customer account information
  • Must be willing to learn more and participate in bank training, including sales and service training
  • Team player and strong work ethic
