WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
As a Bilingual Financial Assistant, you will educate, coach and counsel prospective homebuyers and /or those seeking to improve their financial circumstances.
- Educate prospective homebuyers by conducting regular classes for homebuyer education
- Manage course materials and content for the program
- Manage online education of clients with their counseling and partner administration
- Coach existing and prospective homebuyers by meeting them in person and by phone for one-on-one or small group counseling on pre and post purchase issues
- Maintain files and records, use both electronic databases and hardcopy files to manage client data and compliance information
- Identify and develop new products and services
- Collaborate with staff and external partners to create and implement solutions to challenges that arise
- Prepare and check for errors on reports
- Compile and go through reports from the central database of clients counseled and receiving loans
- Submit counseling reports as scheduled
- Back up other counselors with financial capabilities, foreclosure mitigation and/or reverse mortgage counseling when needed
- Research new and innovative adult education techniques and provide information and recommendations to counseling staff, director of operations and executive director
- Any other duties assigned
WHAT YOU NEED:
- Must be bilingual in Spanish
- Must have some office related experience in a business setting
- Any experience with banking is highly preferred
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field is a plus
- Computer savvy with the ability to learn new programs quickly
- Basic skillset in MSWD and intermediate in Excel
- Any experience with Salesforce is a plus
- Excellent customer service and people skills both over the phone and in person
- Must stay focused and demonstrate good judgment through sometimes stressful situations
- Ability to work well independently as well as apart of the team
- High attention to detail and accuracy while managing multiple client files
- Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to handle highly confidential information
- Excellent listening and communication skills both written and verbal
- Strong work ethic
GENERAL INFORMATION:
Hours: 8:00am – 5:00pm
Length: Temporary to Hire or could be Direct Hire
Pay for the Bilingual Financial Assistant position: $30,000 – $40,000 / yr. – based on experience
