WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
As an Accounting Coordinator, you will process all of the company’s expenditures, prepare monthly accounts payable, general ledger and account reconciliations.
- Code invoices
- Investigate and resolve problems associated with processing of invoices and purchase orders
- Maintain all vendor files and perform routine account reconciliations
- Match vendor invoices, receipt documents and enter data into the software
- Assist in month-end closings
- Communicate with vendors via phone, e-mail, mail or in person
- New project code generation if needed
- Project file and maintenance for item approval process if needed
- Work directly with finance for costing of new items if needed
- Attend weekly commercialization meetings if needed
- Process receipts for credit purchase orders if needed
- Process freight invoices if needed
WHAT YOU NEED:
- Must have some type of a numbers background
- Accounts payable and/or any accounting experience is highly preferred,
- Would be open to an in-depth data entry or an analytical background where you worked in a position with numbers
- Any manufacturing plant exposure desired food or consumer packaged goods industry experience is preferred
- General knowledge of order processing and customer response practices is highly preferred
- Basic skillset in Excel and MSWD
- Strong and accurate data entry skills
- Knowledge of consumer products trade promotion tracking software is highly preferred
- Motivated, driven and a quick learner
- Ability to evaluate financial information and apply sound judgment in making critical decisions
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting and judgment skills
- Must be results driven
- Strong multitasking skills in a fast-paced high growth environment
- Strong organizational, prioritizing and time-management skills to meet deadlines
- Must have numerical aptitude
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

Hours: Full-time hours between 7:00am – 5:00pm
Length: Temporary
Pay for the Accounting Coordinator position: $15.00 – $20.00 / hr. – based on experience
