WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
As an Accounting / Human Resources Assistant, you will assist with payroll and post financial transactions.
- Receive and record vouchers, cash and checks
- Enter debits and credits into software applications and databases accurately
- Produce a variety of reports including income and balance sheets
- Check for accuracy in reports, figures and postings
- Reconcile and report any discrepancies found
- Assist with human resources duties as needed
WHAT YOU NEED:
- A general understanding of financial accounting
- Any cost accounting knowledge is preferred
- An understanding of generally accepted accounting principles
- Any non-profit accounting experience is a huge plus
- Any human resources experience is a plus
- Associate degree in Accounting is preferred, will consider a recent graduate looking for intern experience
- Accounting software experience is ideal
- Must be confident in learning new systems
- Excel skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Extremely high attention to detail and accuracy
- Must be deadline-oriented
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills
- Career focused and strong work ethic
