Are you a well-rounded Accounting Specialist who has QuickBooks experience? Are you an Accounting Specialist that is looking for an opportunity with variety?
Our client is has been in business for 15 years and specializes in manufacturing metal products.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
As an Accounting Specialist, you will be the point of contact for all things accounting.
- Oversee financial reporting
- Accounts payable – enter and schedule payment of bills
- Accounts receivable – enter payments, invoicing, credit memos, track expenses
- Bi-weekly payroll for 10 employees – time clock entries, enter pay rates & deductions, create and submit payroll
- HR/benefits – enroll/remove employees, answer benefits questions, submit payment for insurance, simple IRA and maintain vacation & PTO
- Inventory – set up new items in QuickBooks, complete inventory adjustments, create & update inventory worksheets
- Commissions – generate reports
- Year-end – provide tax information to the accountant, enter journal entries, schedule tax payments
- Track tariff and freight from import purchases
- Gather information for credit checks on prospective customers and prepare reports for insurance audits as needed
WHAT YOU NEED:
- Well-rounded accounting experience (ideally 2-3 years)
- May consider accounting assistance or bookkeeping experience
- Accounts payable / receivable experience
- QuickBooks experience
- Excel skills
- Detailed
- Not afraid to ask questions

Hours: 8:00am-5:00pm
Length: Temporary-to-Hire or Direct Hire
Pay for the Accounting Specialist position: $23.00-$25.00/hr. based on experience
