Our client specializes in security systems and fire protection for homes and businesses.


As an Accounts Payable Assistant, you will be assisting in the Accounting department with a variety of daily tasks.

  • Gather, audit and enter all vendor invoices
  • Assist with weekly accounts payable payments (via check, ACH or on credit card)
  • Assist with resolving billing issues working with the Purchasing and Warehouse departments
  • Gather credit card receipts and tie to weekly credit card reports
  • Bring mail to the post office
  • Review vendor statements
  • Maintain file of vendor payments and information
  • Maintain vendor contracts and account management with vendor accounts
  • Gather and maintain current vendor form W9 and Certificates of Insurance
  • Assist with purchasing office supplies and maintain supply cabinets
  • Assist with data entry to the Fleet Management system for all service the fleet vehicles
  • Work with implementing new procedures to increase accounts payable efficiency
  • Back up for hotel reservations and for Travelling Technicians
  • Assist and directly support the Accounts Payable Coordinator


  • 1+ year of accounting or finance experience is highly preferred
  • Would consider someone with a recent Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • A degree in Accounting is a huge plus
  • Computer/tech savvy with the ability to learn new software quickly
  • MSWD, Excel and Outlook skills
  • Professional demeanor, self-motivated and eager to learn
  • Ability to learn quickly, take direction well and hit the ground running
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong prioritizing skills
  • Team player and flexible to do whatever needs to be done
