As a Customer Service Manager, you will be responsible for managing the customer service department and oversee 10-12 people.

  • Implement department policies, goals, objectives and procedures
  • Assist with selection, training and evaluation of hiring new employees
  • Speak with customers through phone or potentially in person to provide information about products or services
  • Take or enter orders, cancel accounts, and obtain details of complaints
  • Check to ensure that appropriate changes were made to resolve customer problems and refer unresolved customer grievances to correct department for further investigation
  • Take ownership of customer issues and following problems through to resolution, handle escalated issues as they arise
  • Analyze statistics and compile accurate reports
  • Train, mentor and develop the customer service representatives
  • Develop content for the training department and establish key metrics to measure department and employee performance
  • Disciplining, and/or terminating employees if needed


  • Must have 5+ years of business to business customer service management experience, call center management experience is ideal
  • Must have supervised employees
  • Experience with working on resolving customer issues over the phone
  • Bachelor’s degree is ideal
  • Basic MSWD skills and ability to use formulas and create spreadsheets in Excel
  • Must be extremely tech savvy to learn new software quickly
  • Analytical and logical thinking skills with the ability to think outside the box and can come to management with a solution to the problem already
  • Extremely thorough and accurate with a high attention to detail
  • Must be proactive and be able to stay on top of tasks
  • Must be ready to assist with any task assigned to you
  • Ability to handle confidential information
  • Ability to work very high pace busy environment and able to go with the flow in a changing work environment
  • Must be able to take constructive criticism very well, listen and comprehend what is needed to be done and follow through
  • Reliable, strong work ethic and want to be in this position long-term
  • Very clear and concise phone etiquette
  • Driven personality with the desire to work
