WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
As a Customer Support Representative, you will spend 50% of the day taking incoming calls and making some outbound calls.
- Respond to requests and inquiries from prospective program participants, applicants and trade allies
- Cross train on various programs to complete qualification and entry of applications into the network filing system, as well as entry into trackers and online management tools
- Coordinate with departmental staff to process applications including entry of letter requests for incomplete or denial letters
- Accurately and timely respond to requests and inquiries from prospective program participants, applicants, and stakeholders
- Document phone call and email responses in the appropriate trackers and program management tools
- Edit and format program communication and documentation with correct grammar, with little or no typographical errors
- Complete assignments on schedule and within the allotted budget or hours
- Successfully and independently track and perform assigned tasks
- Provide general administrative support to other departments
- Maintain proper filing within departments per set procedures
WHAT YOU NEED:
- Must have 1+ years of office, call center or phone based customer service experience working regularly with computers
- Experience with a customer relationship management software/database, or technical support experience is ideal
- Experience taking orders over the phone is a plus
- Experience working with dual monitors is also a huge plus
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is ideal
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred
- Basic MSWD and intermediate Excel skills
- Strong and accurate data entry skills
- SharePoint knowledge is a plus
- Access or experience working with a similar database is a plus
- Sense of urgency and if you are not understanding something must have the ability to ask to get clarification versus taking time to assume and spending too long on a project
- Must be comfortable being on the phones for at least 50% of the day
- Ability to work well in deadline driven environment and handle multiple deadlines at a time
- Passionate about the work and helping people with the eagerness to learn
- Ability to jump in and hit the ground running
- High degree of attention to detail and an aptitude for spotting & correcting errors
- Must be team-oriented but still able to work well independently
- Ability to maintain confidential information
- Must be engaging with a high level professionalism
- Strong written & verbal communication skills
- Must live in the state of Wisconsin

Pay for the Customer Support Representative position: $13.00 – $16.00 / hr. – based on experience
Location: Madison, WI (THIS POSITION CAN BE WORKED REMOTELY, BUT MUST LIVE IN THE STATE OF WISCONSIN)
