Our client is a wholesale distributor of industrial supplies.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for responding to customers’ requests for pricing, quotes and logistical questions on products sold as well as build relationships with customers and the Sales team.

  • Provide information to incoming customer order status and product knowledge requests
  • Process customer orders, changes and returns
  • Respond to customers and outside sales requests on products and quotes via phone and e-mail
  • Develop strong customer relationships, inform customers of current sales and marketing programs and effectively close the sale opportunities that are uncovered during the conversation
  • Display a thorough understanding of products and features
  • Partner with Sales team and other internal teams to meet and exceed customer’s service expectations
  • Acknowledge purchase orders and expedite orders
  • Back up to answering phones as needed
  • Any other duties as assigned

WHAT YOU NEED:

  • 2+ years of experience in customer service where they have worked with customers from start to finish
  • Experience working with a machine shop, construction or hardware store experience or even industrial supply distribution is highly preferred
  • Associate degree in Business or a related field is a plus
  • MSWD, Excel and Outlook skills
  • PowerPoint experience is a plus
  • Friendly, personable and easygoing
  • Excellent organizational, written and communication skills
  • Ability to establish rapport over the phone
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams to achieve company goals
  • Strong multitasking skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy is crucial
  • Strong work ethic and team player
