Our client is an insurance company that has been in business for over 50 years and specializes in life, health, and disability insurance.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
As a Customer Service Representative, you will answer inbound calls and make outbound calls to policy owners, agents, funeral directors and financial advisors
- Determine claimant needs, provide documentation and provide resolution to problems
- Direct calls to appropriate sources
- Research and provide terminated policyholder with required documentation
- Respond to customer inquiries from the website
- Document calls in the computer system with a summary of the call
- Process daily checks for the Claims department
- Print communications for telecommuting Claims Specialists
- Assist with other duties as assigned
WHAT YOU NEED:
- 2+ years of customer service and / or call center experience
- Insurance industry experience is a plus
- Associate degree in Business / Administrative is a plus
- MSWD, Excel and Outlook skills
- Handle confidential information and exercise superior judgment
- Customer focused and able to build rapport
- Positive, resourceful and team player attitude
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and problem solving skills and be able to prioritize
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong telephone skills and excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in fast paced environment
