Our client is a company in the Marinette area established in the 1940s.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
As an Employee Development and Training Manager, you will be responsible for the development, coordination and presentation of development and training programs for all employees.
- Create and organize training programs that include both on-the-job and classroom based
- Develop and organize training manuals, trade handbooks, multi-media visual aids and other educational materials
- Evaluate instructor performance and the effectiveness of training programs in order to provide recommendations for improvement
- Compile, analyze and report on various metrics related to development and training, quality assurance and deliver information to the executive leadership team
- Collect and maintain training documentation and employee records
- Review and evaluate apprenticeship programs for compliance with government standards
- Apply for and manage state grant funding applications and programs
- Support leadership development and growth, accelerate high potential employee development and managing internal competency models
- Overall develop and oversee leadership training programs, implement coaching, mentoring and network programs
- Develop employee branding strategies
WHAT YOU NEED:
- Must live in or near Marinette, WI
- 5+ years of experience in employee development and training and a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources
- May consider 7+ years of experience in employee development and training and an Associate degree in Human Resources
- May also 9+ years of experience in employee development and training on the job
- Knowledge of human resources policies and procedures, and practical application of employment law
- Experience working in a larger company/corporation is a plus
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field is a plus
- MSWD and Excel skills
- Experience with a performance management system is a plus
- Able to create strong mentoring relationships
- Excellent management skills to be able to manage, assess and develop others
- Able to work with statistical tools and analysis techniques
- Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills
- Strong follow-up skills with a client service mentality
- Work independently and collaboratively in a hands-on, high volume, fast-paced environment
