WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

As a Help Desk Specialist, you will be responsible for providing Level 2 help desk support.

  • Respond to escalated issues from Level 1 Help Desk Technicians
  • Create tickets, update status and resolve issues
  • Resolve and/or assign tickets to the proper resource for escalated needs
  • Reset passwords, account unlocks and create users
  • Keep inventory up to date
  • Building and repair computers, laptops and iPad’s
  • Configure printers to the network
  • Track and record devices

WHAT YOU NEED:

  • Level 2 help desk experience
  • Problem solving and active directory experience
  • IP, internet connectivity, modems, switches and firewalls experience
  • Understand how ISP configurations work and the networking involved
  • Experience building computers (desktops)
  • MSWD and Excel skills
  • MS Azure: cloud based administration for the Microsoft windows environment.  Resetting two factor authentication, audit logs, sign-in logs, etc.
  • MS Office 365: reset passwords, user licensing, check failed logins & create and manage group and shared mailboxes
  • MS Active Directory: Understand what an organizational unit is, how to move computers and users into the proper OU’s, reset passwords, unlock accounts, allow computers on the network, allow computers on the domain, etc.
  • IBM MaaS360 a plus
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Apply logic and troubleshooting skills, data gathering and research the problem and find a solution
  • Detailed documentation skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Problem solving skills

GENERAL INFORMATION:

Hours: 40 hours per week between 7:00am-5:00pm

Length: Temporary-to-Hire

Pay for the Help Desk Specialist position: $18.00-$22.00/hr. based on experience
