As a Customer Service Specialist, you will generate and send supplier purchase orders and supplier confirmations for direct ship orders.

  • Maintain distributor order guides with vendor item numbers and maintain distributor sales orders during entire process
  • Process credit and debit requests relating to supplier promotions, quality complaints, billing issues and other situations
  • Provide administrative support to distributors
  • Provide quotes to distributors on currently ordered product, comparable product and new product lines to aid in the increase of sales
  • Initiate sample request processes for assigned distributors, communicate request to suppliers and monitor the entire process by providing distributor feedback to suppliers
  • Complete conference follow-up and document results
  • Obtain and provide product nutritionals, point of sale and product specifications
  • Review and act upon distributor retention reports
  • Attend relevant training and attend relevant VP shows
  • Any other duties as assigned by Director of Member Development and Director of Training and Development
  • Assess possible area of growth with distributors and submit new item requests on their behalf


  • Must live in or near Appleton, WI
  • 1+ years of customer service, data entry, sales, problem solving or account manager type background within an office setting
  • Someone that has worked in a food service industry type company is highly preferred
  • Bachelor or associate degree is preferred
  • Tech savvy and comfortable with new technology and systems
  • MSWD and Excel skills
  • Strong and accurate data entry skills
  • Someone who has used Outlook is ideal
  • Outgoing and friendly
  • Strong organizational skills and detail oriented
  • Must be okay being at a desk all day long and must enjoy doing order entry
  • Must be open to change and not be afraid to ask questions
  • Strong multitasking and prioritizing skills
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Strong listening skills
  • Must take initiative and have a strong sense of urgency

Hours: Full-time hours between 8:00am– 5:00pm

Length: Temporary to Hire possibly Direct Hire
