WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
As a Logistics Analyst, you will work with logistics providers to track and trace shipments.
- Establish/create appropriate routing instructions for current and future suppliers
- Responsible for the flow of material in North America
- Develop and document processes and procedures concerned with material flow
- Monitor routing/contract compliance of logistics service providers
- Identify inefficiencies, opportunities for consolidation of freight and general cost reductions
- Provide sound analytical support for projects, new business opportunities and proposals.
- Work with legal/compliance administration to ensure the logistics system operates in accordance with applicable local, state, federal customs laws, rules and regulations
- Participate with logistics sourcing teams in the development of requirements, quote packages, data gathering, evaluation and analysis of bid packages.
- Ensure that the procedures within the procedures manual are followed through all North America- based subsidiaries
- Report preparation and distribution, both governmental and inter-company
WHAT YOU NEED:
- Must have 3+ years of transportation/logistics experience
- Must have experience with negotiating contracts or resource planning
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
- Any knowledge of automotive products is preferred
- Must have an understanding of customs events and the application of incoterms is preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business or related field is preferred
- Intermediate skillset in Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
