WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
As a Receptionist, you will check in patients using the EMR system, assist them with any paperwork they may have and schedule their appointments.
- Call on referrals from physicians
- Set patient up in outcome measure system
- Call on patient benefits
- Conduct prior authorization requests and follow up on requests
- Ensure insurance card(s), referral, Demo/HIPAA information are scanned into the EMR system
- Fax therapy notes and initial evaluations to physicians
- Check claim generation and make corrections to account as needed
- Verify all patient information and insurance information are correct and current
- Answer in-bound calls and patch calls through or send messages as appropriate
- Collect patient co-pay and balance on patient accounts
- Open clinic ensuring doors are unlocked, lights and televisions are turned on
- Complete daily and weekly money reports
- Drop deposit at bank
- Assist with laundry
- Place order for office supplies
- Check/return voicemails
- Make appropriate reminder/screening calls
- Monitor Medicare tracking reports
- Run Medicaid report and check patients’ status for any changes
- Monitor and call on wait list
WHAT YOU NEED:
- Receptionist or front desk experience is preferred but will also consider someone who has excellent face to face people skills
- Healthcare or medical experience is a huge plus
- Computer savvy with the ability to learn industry specific software, enter information, move through different screens and fix discrepancies while on the phone with patients
- Upbeat/can do attitude
- Outstanding people skills making sure they are the number one priority
- Strong organizational skills in an extremely fast-paced environment
