WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
As a Retail Accounting Specialist, you will be working in the accounting department on the retail support side.
- Audit retail stores and retail support daily transactions
- Support sales audit on weekends
- Work with stores to resolve any out of balance transactions and discrepancies
- Reconcile the retail bank accounts and monitor the stores daily deposits
- Prepare month-end cash and other retail related journal entries for the general ledger
- Reconcile retail balance sheet accounts, such as cash receipts and retail liabilities
- Create and post journal entries, prepare account reconciliations and reconcile bank statements on designated accounts
- Handle other projects and tasks as necessary
WHAT YOU NEED:
- Must have some type of office experience
- 1-2 years of accounting or retail experience is highly preferred
- Would consider someone with administrative, customer service representative and/or heavy data entry experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business majoring in Accounting or Finance is preferred
- Computer savvy and must be able to toggle between multiple screens
- Advanced skillset in Excel
- Strong and accurate data entry skills
- Friendly and strong customer service skills
- Strong organizational, multitasking and prioritizing skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to jump in quickly, learn and retain the information given
- Strong written and verbal communication skills

Hours: 8:00am– 4:30pm
Length: Long-term Temporary
Pay for the Retail Accounting Specialist position: $15.00 – $17.00 / hr. – based on experience
Location: Appleton, WI – THIS POSITION WILL START OUT REMOTE BUT WILL EVENTUALLY GO BACK TO THE OFFICE
